Reflection Fractions for Thick Discs
Collaborators:
This is the first (ongoing) project of my PhD degree. The idea was to work on a smaller project as a way to get into the theoretical/modelling and also get used to working in Julia and with Gradus.jl. I am working on calculating reflection fractions for thick disc geometries such as Shakura-Sunyaev and funnel-like discs. This potentially allow us to set more realistic constrains on spin and help with consistent modelling of complex disc geometries. Paper in prep.
I also presented a poster at NAM based on my work.

X-ray Interferometry
During my master’s, I am extremely happy to have been a (small) part of the X-ray Interferometry project led by Roland den Hartog (SRON) and Phil Uttley (UvA). For this project, I worked on adapting Fourier methods commonly used in X-ray timing analysis to detect fringes that would be observed by the X-ray Interferometer.
